"DOUBLE-END" where masterpieces coexist

beautiful people is launching the second collaboration with Lee, a denim brand with over 100 years of history. The collection is available in two colours: a bleached colour with a distinctive handcrafted feel and a one-washed indigo colour. The blouson and denim trousers, two items that can be called Lee’s masterpieces respectively, are presented in beautiful people’s unique pattern design concept, the “double-end”, one-of-a-kind item that can be worn upside down.

Masterpieces coexist at the double-end

The ‘91-B’ and ‘91-J’ are two of the most representative models of Lee’s many masterpieces.
The ‘91-B’ was the first Lee work jacket to use a front fastener and was made for farmers, while the ‘91-J’ was made for railway workers, who worked on locomotives and were the flower of the profession at the time. This is a blouson with a new sense of value, in which two items with different backgrounds coexist in one garment by being double-ended and worn upside-down.

    The ‘91-J’ model was designed for railway workers in the flowery occupations of the time working on locomotives.
  • Side-B : 91-B ZIP UP WORK JACKET details
    The ‘91-B’ model was the first of the Lee work jackets to use a front fastener and was made for farmers.
  • Side-A：Chest pocket
    Watch pocket on chest to hold a pocket watch, pen, essential for train operation.
  • Side-B：Zipper
    Chest pocket with a zipper closure unique to the ‘91-B’.
  • Characteristic color facing of jeans
    The bleach colour also has hidden contrasts everywhere, such as behind the pockets and belt loops.
  • Original double name tag
    Made from Jelt Denim, which is durable, light and provides ease of movement. The original double name tag bears witness to this.
  • 2-way front pockets
    Two pockets that can be accessed from either the top or bottom, unique to the double end.
  • Triple stitches
    The three stitches are a traditional specification specific to work jackets.

Like the blouson, the bottoms are double-ended. They can be worn upside down by opening the zippers on both sides, recombining and closing them. Two designs coexist in one garment with the double-ended technique: the original baker trousers with 91-B detailing, and the 77 logger trousers, made for lumberjacks who work in the agricultural and forestry industry.

The H.D. Lee Mercantile Company was founded in 1889 by Henry David Lee as a wholesaler of food and household goods, and began manufacturing its own workwear in 1911, including bib overalls in 8oz denim.
