セルビッチは直線状の生地端であるため、一般的にはその直線を活かしやすいストレートシルエットのデニムに用いられます。
裾に向かって広がるフレアや、細く絞られるテーパードのような曲線を持つシルエットでは、セルビッチを通しながら形をつくることは容易ではありません。
